Job Description

This position is needed to perform a variety of duties to help maintain our facility in safe operating conditions while working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment when they are discovered before they have a chance worsen including conduct regular inspections of the building.
  • Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, addressing plumbing issues, furniture moves, patch & paint walls.
  • Escort vendors around building.
  • Ability respond to emergency maintenance requests while on-call.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months - 1 year facility maintenance experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Windows)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office and/or a laboratory and /or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical equipment.
  • May occasionally drive to other locations.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent mobility required.
  • May be stationary for 4-6 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands and wrists.
  • Frequent crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. required frequency.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer software.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand with the ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information.
  • Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration.
  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress while multi-tasking.
  • Regular and consistence attendance.
