Environmental Conditions
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

How will you make an impact?

You will assist the Facilities Supervisor with the management and day-to-day activities for all 3rd party contractors supporting the facility, and lead facility-related capital projects. This role is crucial in supporting the development of lifesaving drugs worldwide, making a tangible difference in global healthcare!

What will you do?

  • Manage the installation and commissioning of equipment and modification of facilities to meet client requirements with minimal disruption to operations, adhering strictly to good engineering practices.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timely, within-budget completion, and flawless execution.
  • Develop and present project solutions with realistic cost estimates to internal clients; adjust scope as necessary.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifying construction methods to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and site customers to develop and understand specifications for new facility equipment.
  • Complete and coordinate utility change control and commissioning documentation.
  • Continually monitor contractors' safety performance, rectifying any violations promptly.
  • Lead all aspects of managing multiple nested contractors and their day-to-day tasks and monthly maintenance requirements, while effectively maintaining workload in the One Maximo CMMS system.

How will you get here?

  • A BS in an Engineering or technical related field is required.
  • 1 year of experience in a facility, engineering, or technical related field.
  • Previous pharmaceutical experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Customer Focus
  • Vendor Management
  • Mechanical and electrical systems technical proficiency
  • Excellent judgment, decision making, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
  • Maximo (CMMS) experience preferred.
