Engineer/Scientist I, QC

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional QC of NGS Reagents Kits and sensors (raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods) to maintain the highest quality and compliance.
  • Document, compute, and compile data to provide a comprehensive assessment of product performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed QC batch records and files according to the most stringent quality standards, including ISO compliance and GLP/GMP requirements.
  • Generate nonconformance reports in the event of product failure and promptly notify the appropriate parties.
  • Actively participate in team meetings to collaboratively troubleshoot product performance and process issues as they arise.
  • Conduct methodical troubleshooting experiments to accurately identify the underlying cause of laboratory results that deviate from specifications (out-of-specification or OOS), and implement necessary corrective measures while strictly following established protocols.
  • Assist in the development and successful implementation of new QC testing methods and standards.
  • Prepare meticulous validation protocols and reports, ensuring they meet our internal quality guidelines.
  • Contribute to the submission of essential documents to the Quality Management System.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Experience working in a Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent laboratory.
  • Knowledge in lab protocols and the use of laboratory equipment/supplies to conduct tests.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize assignments and manage projects in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other similar data analysis tools.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $58,100.00-$87,125.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
