How you will make an impact:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a motivated individual to fill a role as an Engineering Support Technician. Being a part of the Single-use division R&D team you will have the opportunity to support the developers and manufacturers of biological-based therapeutics and vaccines in the industry.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and coordinate updates of detailed internal work instruction and procedures using electronic systems.
  • Assisting the engineering team in the design control process, testing and data acquisition, and management of PCP documents
  • Support managers and engineers in developing and improving R&D standards
  • PDM administration for R&D teams
  • Provide compliance documentation support.
  • Lead any site wide change control processes.
  • Understand and implement good documentation practices.
  • Support engineering by providing specification numbers, template documentation and working through approval process.

How you will get here:

Education

High School Diploma/GED is required. Associates degree or higher is helpful.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • 2+ years in a role requiring strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a document control capacity is a plus.
  • Good understanding of electronic systems (ie: ERP/Oracle, PDM, MasterControl) a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong organizations skills.
  • Ability to prioritize a shifting workload.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good technical and digital literacy.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended amounts of time.
  • Ability to move about the facility.
