JOB DESCRIPTION

The Engineering project manager will pay a key role to steward and progress approved capital projects from appropriation to completion by applying a disciplined approach to project engineering, process and project management at Thermo Fisher Scientific Monza Site.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSABILITIES

  • Developing projects through detailed design and developing execution plans while achieving stated goals (i.e. safety, quality, timelines, cost, reliability and clients' satisfaction)
  • Perform an accurate reporting for all the projects to correctly track time, cost and overall project health, according to the original scope and its variation.
  • Interfacing and collaborating with clients, site management, operations and maintenance, global engineering as well as third party inputs on costs and design.
  • Provide the appropriate level of support to Clients to address issues related to the technology transfer (TT) of the products and drive internal and external customers towards the best technical solution.
  • Act as an SME for the Site and clients for engineering topics (e.g equipment, processes, civil) as well as PM for the project that involves several functions.
  • Collaborate with the Quotation and the Technical Business Manager Team to determine costs associated to start of a new project, through the analysis of the necessary changes for the transfer itself and the optimization of the new processes
  • Work in self-directed and collaborative environments, while maintaining a high level of accountability to the project development outcome

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: master's degree in engineering or related technical fields
  • Experience: at least 3+ Years in manufacturing environment in a technical role (i.e. operations, engineering, manufacturing)
  • Good knowledge of the cGMP and Engineering Standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of P&ID
  • Fluent communication in English

  • Motivation to acquire knowledge of process and equipment design
  • Driven and enthusiastic about Project Execution and overall continuous improvement
  • Ability to interact with organizational levels both horizontally, vertically and to third parties (i.e. suppliers, clients)
  • Problem solving strong attitude

Desirables

  • Previous Pharma experience (fill and finish or API manufacturing site)
  • PMP/Prince2 or other Project Management Certification
