Product Safety & Regulatory Engineer

As a Product Safety & Regulatory Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in ensuring the flawless compliance of our products with regulatory standards. Your expertise will be critical in determining and implementing the necessary safety measures, allowing us to successfully compete in the global market.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough product safety assessments and risk analyses
  • Develop and maintain product compliance documentation
  • Work closely with teams from various departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and offer guidance to our internal teams.
  • Support product development teams in implementing safety standards
  • Able to work independently
  • Experience working in high-tech environment, and specifically capital equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (EE is helpful)
  • Proven experience in product safety and regulatory compliance
  • Experience to judge engineering solutions and their impact in product safety.
  • A proven solid understanding of the Machinery directive and other CE directives.
  • Experience of the IEC/UL/CSA 61010-1 and other electrical safety and machinery standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge with the certification process of CE compliance.
  • Can effectively and concisely present information across all levels of the organization
  • Global Communication across various cultures
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to multitask, balancing multiple projects
