Join our team of engineers, developers, chemists, and biologists to develop DNA sequencing instrumentation for research and regulated markets. You'll test and verify hardware and software designs, ensuring they meet product specifications.

What will you do?

  • Develop and complete verification and validation test protocols to support the commercial release of DNA sequencing hardware and control software.
  • Document test results and communicate issues quickly to design team during all stages of development on both new and existing product lines.
  • Develop and release test documentation under an ISO design control process.
  • Assist in crafting test fixtures for testing subassemblies.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering

Experience

  • Experience in testing electromechanical sub-assemblies, test report generation, and release of documentation within an ISO design control process.
  • Experience in instrumentation development in Biotechnology, medical device, or similar industries.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must understand best-practice quality processes.
  • Capable of understanding system requirements and have experience developing and performing test plans & protocols.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Upbeat, and willing to work hands-on in driving a variety of activities.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and team skills, as well as thrive in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
  • Good initiative, able to work independently or with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Resourceful and motivated to learn new skills.
  • Experience with HP-ALM, Doors, or other Quality Systems.
  • Proficient in scripting, debugging, optimization, and unit testing.
  • Mechanical design work and experience using Solidworks or similar CAD system a plus.
  • Familiarity with Matlab, Python, or similar tools for data analysis a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $75,900.00-$113,850.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
