The team you'll be part of -

ERP Quality Assurance ensures that the projects are governed and proper testing is done and documented before the solution is deployed in production.

What You Will Learn And Contribute To -

In this role as an E1/ Enterprise One QA Engineer , you will be part of our Quality Assurance Team, responsible for all testing and documentation for all the changes and enhancements. You will work closely with the business group scrum team and assist the IT teams ( BAs, Technical & functional teams ) in testing & documentation for all the changes and enhancements. You will be responsible for working closely with the E1 Functional team to develop & maintain the test suite and keep it up to date. You will be responsible for working with the IT team and maintain the test automation scripts and keep them up to date. You will be responsible for identifying test scope and designing test scripts from requirements and design document to ensure that the full scope of the project, enhancement/ change request are thoroughly tested and all the defects identified and addressed before solution is deployed in production.

Your Skills And Experience -

ThermoFisher has a wide array of ERP & Non- ERP applications. We have the latest E1 instances which are of critical importance to our business. E1 is integrated with multitude other ERP systems, non-ERP systems,Third party systems etc. and it becomes extremely important to test the solution End To End before deploying solution in the production environment.

The E1 Test engineer, will be responsible for project testing, test management and governance,manual & automation regression testing, change management testing for all the changes for our Validated E1 application.

  • E1 OTC Functional tester to assist detect problems where standard practice or software has failed to meet customer requirements. Works with application development team and Functional SME to ensure that all business requirements problems are met and resolved.
  • Takes the lead on difficult defect detection, problem solving, error handling and fixing in OTC, Operations - planning,Production, procurement modules Distribution & Finance modules.
  • Should have a thorough understanding E2E processes which include OTC, distribution, procurement, planning and production processes, finance processes etc.
  • Should be willing to learn and support integrated modules with website,Distribution applications, SAP systems, 3rd party applications etc.
  • Applies strong knowledge of QA principles, methodologies ( Waterfall, agile, hybrid etc.), and techniques to test and ensure the quality of the application.
  • Works with application development team and Functional SMEs to ensure that all the scripts are upto date and assist the team with new scope and test scripts identification to add to the regression suite.
  • Provides support in areas such as feasibility studies and design review.
  • Create test scripts & documents based on requirements.
  • Work with the functional and technical analysts to test changes and enhancements to the system.
  • Work with the automation team to automate new test scripts and maintenance of our existing suites - modify existing scripts to keep them current at all times
  • Learn automation tool Tricentis TOSCA and contribute in automation maintenance.
  • Lead complex projects and implement best practices , proper scope identification, Test scripts design based on the requirements, defect tracking, meetings & co-ordination, reporting etc.
  • Work on change management testing for enhancements and demands, incidents. Understand the change and develop & execute test cases during testing.
  • Thorough understanding of RICEFW and how they are relevant from testing POV.

Qualifications -

  • A minimum of 5 years of E1 implementation experience working in large and complex transformations. Additional experience in migration, roll outs and upgrades.
  • Should have good understanding of PMF Framework and must have extensive experience working in waterfall and agile projects.
  • Should have experience working on validated/ GxP systems. Should be familiar with Validated version of ALM - Agiliprove or iAuthorize and documentation tool - Master Control.
  • Bachelors' degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MTech. from an accredited college/university is preferred
  • Experience on complex End To End Business Processes
  • Knowledge of OTC, Operations - planning, Procurement and production in both E1 9.2 version including knowledge of integrations with SAP, websites, distribution applications, Third party applications - Inbound and outbound processes, management & processing, error handling etc.
  • OTC processes include : Create a Standard Order Process, Additional Order Processes (SJ, F1,F2, S8,SJ,SR etc), Create (SO) Standard Sales Order with Primer Upload, Case Management,Customer Management,Customer Service Reports,Prepaid Reserves,Price Management,Price Setup / Adjustment Setup,Pricing - Reports, Setup and Maintenance, Standard Reserves, Supply Center Master, Dual Channel Exchange Tables, Quote, replacement order, return order, dropship order etc.
  • Ops processes include :

Planning :Understand MRP Versions,Production planning transactions, Understand sku parameters , Planning setup,Planning inquiries and planning reports

Procurement:Create multiple purchase orders,Receipt Routing,how to manage purchase orders ,Supplier Management,Procurement Reports,Raw Materials Planning

Inventory:Goods receiving process,Inventory movement, process Cycle counts,Inventory Issue,sInventory Reports

Distribution:Distribution transactions, Pick pack shipment,Distribution Reports

Shop floor Management :Work order preparation,Work Order ,Reporting,Shop floor Management setup

  • Finance processes includes AP,AR,GL,FA
  • E1 9.2 Certification in any module (Functional and/or technical) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years Hands-on expertise on Test Management tools like MicroFocus ALM, MicroFocus ALM iAuthorize/ Agiliprove, Jira, Jira-Xray, Easy BI and Microsoft Office tools ( Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)
  • Other helpful experience includes: Power BI, E1 Data base navigation.
  • Understanding of test practices for large-scale ERP implementations, migrations and roll outs.
  • Strong reporting skills using dashboards and test management tools
  • Strong communication skills to be able to drive meetings and clearly communicate to IT and business partners, collaborators, customers etc.
  • Ability to travel at a short notice
  • Clear understanding of PMF, SDLC roles & responsibilities.

Non-technical Qualifications

  • Highly self-motivated, execution-focused, with a willingness to do "what it takes" to deliver results as you will be expected to rapidly cover a considerable amount of engagements in projects & operations.
  • Understanding of Testing methodology and actual experience writing functional and regression test design specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, by telephone, and emails.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams not limited to India. Ability to work with teams situated globally.
  • Exhibit accountability, data driven and results driven.
  • Great attitude towards learning new things and taking on any kind of tasks
  • Analytical skills, Attention to details,
