Job Description

Experience Required: 1.5-3 years of web application development using Java and related web technologies. Knowledge of automated testing tools is helpful.

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree

Position Summary:

This position will work within the DPE group to develop and implement E-Business initiatives and technical projects. Candidate must be able to translate business needs into effective technical solutions using Java, AWS, JavaScript and other E-Business technologies. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of E-Commerce systems and services, search and browse web systems that support the company's E-Commerce business objectives, participate in the migration of legacy applications into new cloud platforms.

Job Functions:

Delivery of sophisticated web applications on schedule with high reliability and scalability Produce high quality code, test all delivered work and build documentation Work closely with product managers, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and architects to design, develop, unit test, debug and maintain web applications, web services and other related features based on functional requirements and scope of work. Supply and confirm to DE adopted software development standards. Participate in production deployment and provide assistance to the production support group as needed. Participate in performance tuning of web applications.

Required Skills:

- 1-2+ years of web application development experience in Java or similar technologies.

- 1 year of experience using Spring Boot.

- Understanding of semantic HTML and CSS.

- Proficiency with JavaScript

- Familiarity with Git + Github (experience with Github Actions is helpful).

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Exposure to AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, etc. is a plus.

Additional skills:

Experience working in Agile development environment and tools like Jira would be a plus. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to communicate efficiently with managers, business analysts, web engineers, architects and other technical departments Strong problem solving and fixing abilities with a shown understanding of diverse environments and components - mainframe, Unix, Windows, database, networks, etc
