Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with software, electrical, and mechanical engineers, as well as scientists, to build something from inception to first customer shipment. This unique opportunity allows you to grow within the Software team and across the Thermo Fisher organization.

What you will do:

  • Work with Senior Developers on building high quality application-level software and graphical user interfaces to reduce complicated mathematical problems into simple concepts!
  • Develop software modules based on object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques under the guidance of other Senior Developers.
  • Participate in code, design, and test plan reviews.
  • Collaborate with SCRUM team members in an environment that embraces both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, while emphasizing a focus on thorough testing throughout the development process.

How you will get here:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Exposure to Agile and/or waterfall methodology
  • Experience of using data structures and basic computing algorithms
  • Practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems.
  • Exposure to multithreading programming models and database systems, programming and scripting languages
