Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.

Summer projects may include the following responsibilities:

Primary Skilss

  • AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical
  • Able to understand and modify CAD control panel layouts & electrical schematics from a redline & marked up previous revision.
  • Able to understand and modify CAD P&ID's, Network Architectures, I/O Lists & ModBus Segment Drawings from a redline & marked up previous revision.
  • Able to create and design 2D layout of electrical wire harnesses or cable assemblies.
  • Understanding of Power Distribution Systems for Low to Medium Voltage
  • Understanding of E-Stop and Safety Circuitry
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Procedures & Practices
  • Technical Writing
  • Participate on project teams if necessary
  • Able to review system designs and bills of materials in our Agile Product Lifecycle Management software (We can train to use this software).
  • Rapidly identify problems and make corrections
  • Work in cross-functional teams
  • Nice To Have Skill Sets:
  • Solid Works
  • Understanding of Environmental and Safety
  • Understanding of Compliance Engineering such as
    • Safety testing
    • EMC testing
    • Radio or wireless testing
    • Protocol
    • Human exposure to RF
    • IP testing
    • Material testing
    • Shock and vibration testing
  • Update designs and drawings to support customer configurable orders
  • Independently troubleshoot electrical related manufacturing issues

Start Date: This internship is set to begin on either May 12th or June 16th, 2025 for a duration of 10-12 weeks - dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.

Compensation & Relocation: Our undergraduate Engineering internships offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $28.75 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.

Howwillyougethere?

  • Undergraduate student completing an Engineering-related degree between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • 0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.
  • Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
  • Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.

To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $21.00-$24.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
