Our Cincinnati site is a Center of Excellence for specialized oral solid dose manufacturing and drug development within our Pharma Services Group (PSG).

How will you make an impact?

The primary purpose of this role is to be the Electrical Controls Engineer for the Cincinnati Site. This position will support the site for PLC programming; SME for Allen Bradley control systems and THP CMS system. Other responsibilities include carrying out various maintenance and engineering tasks to improve the overall controls & electrical system performance and design. As a system owner, this person will be responsible for master plan development and execution.

What will you do?

  • Support the site for PLC programming, serving as the Domain Expert (SME) for Allen Bradley control systems and THP CMS (Temperature, Humidity & Pressure Critical Monitoring System).
  • Conduct Medium Voltage maintenance and provide domain expertise (SME) in this area.
  • Lead all aspects of the design and execution of the multi-phase Electrical Master Plan to ensure efficient and effective electrical systems.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Processes, identifying and addressing any issues in manufacturing related to electrical & controls.
  • Assist in defining user requirements for controls and electrical systems, both for expense and capital projects.
  • Improve the overall electrical system through design improvements, maintenance initiatives, and robust document controls.
  • Handle preventative maintenance and testing on existing medium and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Train others in safety related to site electrical systems.
  • Lead and support client and regulatory audits of the electrical systems.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Three years of practical working experience with Allen Bradley Systems and Electrical infrastructure
  • Preferred experience in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Systems design and maintenance.
  • Experience with Electrical industry standards, codes & regulations is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of electrical substations, vista switch gear and other electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, equipment specifications, and submittals.
  • Experience with GMP and or ISO regulations preferred
  • Experience or Knowledge of Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and data analysis for improving efficiency of preventive and corrective maintenance measures
  • Preferred AutoCAD knowledge preferred
