This position is in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets blood test systems for clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergies, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. How will you make an impact?

We are currently seeking an EHS Specialist III to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, as well as compliance with all applicable regulations. If you are passionate about EHS and want to make a difference in a world-class organization, we would love to hear from you!

What will you do?

  • Work closely with employees and functional managers in solving Work Environment, Health and Safety concerns.
  • Analyze and communicate EHS performance against expectations, communicate feedback, and establish and supervise required actions to improve performance.
  • Participate in EHS rounds, find opportunities related to EHS and remediate safety concerns.
  • Encourage a culture where employees at all levels take ownership for EHS.
  • Deliver EHS training as required.
  • Lead and participate in ergonomics analysis, make recommendations and work with appropriate department to implement changes.
  • Work with project team and ensure established EHS standards are met while implementing new projects.

Required Qualification and experience

  • You are probably an EHS professional with a relevant academic background (Work Environment, Occupational Health, Chemical, Toxicology, Environmental engineering, or similar)
  • You must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant EHS/Sustainability experience
  • Experience with EHS management systems including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is required
  • Good knowledge of safety principles like Lock Out /Tag Out, Work Permit, ATEX, CE marking, Chemical safety
  • Motivated and willing to work cross-functionally with many collaborators internally and externally
  • Proficient in English and Swedish

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good technical and analytical skills with the ability to optimally lead multiple tasks and daily responsibilities
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Great teammate, able to work optimally with others
