Lead and drive operations at our Loughborough, England site, ensuring production aligns with business goals. Take this operation to the next level by expanding capabilities and establishing efficient systems for high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and improve safety behaviors of all team by working and collaborating on improvement in the process.
  • Provide overall leadership to all functions of the site. Establish goals and priorities consistent with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Accountable for ensuring Safety and Compliance at this highly regulated site
  • Ensure the operational financial performance is in line with the business objectives, proactively addressing improvements.
  • Develop and mentor an impactful successful team with capabilities to drive ownership and accountability, while breaking down barriers that impede success!
  • Drive continuous higher levels of quality, process improvement, customer happiness, profitable growth, and transformation at the site.
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with works councils and ability to lead in a union environment.
  • Role models a site culture aligned with Thermo Fisher's 4i Values, and be a strong change advocate able to move individuals and groups through change successfully.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Process Safety, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis.
  • Shown experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within fast paced, complex supply chain operations.
  • Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in site leader operations.
  • Familiarity with leading teams in a regulated hazardous environment, passionate about safety and controlled substance compliance.
  • Consistent track record of driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and continuous improvement process improvement initiatives.
  • Senior Operations leadership experience in a complex, and matrixed supply chain operations environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
