How will you make an impact?

The Microbiology Division is a division within Specialty Diagnostics Division. MBD includes culture media, tubes, bottles, AST, blood culture, and other microbiology products. We target three customer segments: clinical, food, and pharma. The combined portfolio offers our customers excellent solutions across life science workflows, enabling them to accelerate their research and ID the pathogens that infect our bodies, food, or pharmaceuticals.

We are seeking a Global Market Development Director to drive global strategic plans for growth in collaboration with key partners and lead a team to identify fast-growing markets, develop portfolio strategies, and drive profitable growth. The function will synthesize market data and customer insights to prioritize recommendations and implement targeted marketing strategies. A passion for science and customer-centric marketing is crucial.

The successful candidate will need to optimally work within a highly matrixed organization to develop global, multi-channel marketing campaigns, and build and lead tactical execution to achieve marketing and revenue targets. This individual should have a strong background in B2B marketing, with demonstrated ability to optimize marketing efforts by channel and funnel stage.

A day in the life:

• Establish and review priorities for comprehensive strategic plan in demand generation.

• Develop and communicate relevant aspects of vertical strategy internally and externally.

• Identify emerging market trends and shape roadmap for optimized growth.

• Support new product introductions within the Go-to-Market strategy.

• Understand barriers to program use and develop actionable plans for market development.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful implementation and market impact.

• Partner with institutional leadership, special committees, and consultants for key initiatives.

• Shape category priorities and facilitate strategic discussions on external trends and competitor strategies.

• Lead and develop team of marketing professionals, mentoring individuals across functions.

How will you get here?

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Preferred: Master's of Science in life sciences or PhD in life sciences field and/or an MBA

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing plans for technical imaging platforms with sophisticated selling approach.

• Knowledge of key marketing proficiencies: 4Ps, 3Cs, marketing mix, communication channels, segmentation, value proposition, and marketing program development and execution

• Experience with product area marketing plans and industry practices for similar products.

• Strong scientific content writing and messaging development skills

• Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, project management, and planning skills
