Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Contract Specialist III. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on a global scale and contribute to our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a Contract Specialist III, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, negotiate, and administer commercial and government-related contracts on behalf of assigned CAD business units in accordance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures, including without limitation, price updates, audits, reports, and payments.
  • Provide contract guidance to key internal stakeholders for legal, financial, regulatory, and other business concerns identifying areas of risk
  • Support the development and submission of RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses.
  • Ensure appropriate compliance reviews are completed including but not limited to import/export regulations and country of origin certificates
  • Resolve and document customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Support and participate in process improvement projects to drive operational efficiencies and standardization such as establishing templates, standardizing playbooks, process updates, etc.
  • Manage and provide certificates of insurance requests.
  • Maintain contracts team intranet resource site.
  • Manage the general mailbox and assignments
  • Support and assist the contracts team with contract administration activities as needed.
  • Data entry and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of government or commercial contracts experience, including contract negotiations, contract closeout, and pre and post RFP activities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate strong relationships, internally and externally, as applicable.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage constantly evolving priorities.
  • Highly attentive individual with a customer-centric approach, sound judgment, work ethic, and professional integrity and a keen eye for detail.
  • Advanced MS Office or Office 365 skills. Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • IACCM or NCMA certifications are a plus
