Job Description

The Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific aims to improve the management of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases by providing healthcare professionals with advanced diagnostics technologies and clinical expertise. As a Contract Specialist II, you will be instrumental in ensuring flawless execution of our contracts and compliance with our customers' contractual obligations by tracking service coverage on their equipment as well as monitoring their contractual purchase commitments. You will provide communications to our customers to ensure they have purchased service coverage for their equipment which is essential to their testing capabilities and provides for seamless support interactions between our customers, and our field service engineers and technical support staff. You will ensure billing processes are followed and that our business systems are updated to accurately reflect service coverage levels and service dates. You will work with our business analytics team and with the sales team to develop strategies to keep our customers accountable and on track with their obligations. This position will play a crucial role in supporting our ambitious initiatives and contributing to our world-class operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Review and understand business terms outlined in customers' contracts
  • Monitor service expiration dates and obtain payment for continued service coverage
  • Collaborate with cross function teams to ensure seamless service to our customers by communicating invoicing details and service updates to the internal team
  • Provide clear correspondence to inquiries for service on all equipment
  • Successfully implement and maintain accurate service coverage records
  • Work with business analytics to monitor contractual purchase obligations of our customers
  • Work with sales to provide shortfall notifications to customers and determine strategy to address any deficits
  • Follow up with stakeholders to address contractual remedies including possible liaison with legal team
  • Work with sales and internal team to address any lost customers including facilitating equipment return and termination of contract
  • Cross train and support other members of the contracting team by taking on other contracting functions to ensure support to the sales team, including but not limited to stewarding Business Associate Agreements and Marketing Outreach Agreements

Education

  • Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Experience

  • Involvement with and provision of excellent customer service
  • Experience working in a collaborative team setting
  • Previous experience in contract management or a related subject area

  • Prior experience and knowledge in Salesforce and Service Max
  • Navision ERP experience preferred
