Job Description

Are you interested in a challenging and rewarding position as an Obsolescence and Component Management Resolution Supervisor? Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our world-class engineering team in Brno.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in managing obsolescence and component resolution activities.
  • Closely cooperate with global stakeholders in Brno, Einhoven, Hillsboro and other sites.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate the risks associated with obsolete components.
  • Collaborate with teams from various departments to assess the effect of component obsolescence on product designs.
  • Advocate for process improvements, be role model for your team in innovation.
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify alternative components and successfully implement necessary changes.
  • Monitor and strictly adhere to project timelines to ensure flawless execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to engineers in resolving component-related issues.
  • Track and report on projects and performance (KPIs) to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team (at least one year as a team lead or project manager)
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ambitious and driven to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with diverse teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical data and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Meticulous with a strong emphasis on accuracy and precision.
