A Day in the Life:
- Identifies critical areas for improvement in the technology used
- Aid in the development and deployment of cloud targeted tools to identify and reduce risk
- Regularly meet with AI, cloud security, and infrastructure teams to ensure cloud resources are configured according to established cloud security standard methodologies
- The main point of responsibility in data security efficiency in terms of ensuring it operates according to governance and compliance policies
- Supervise and analyze security events using cloud-native security tools and SIEM solutions.
Keys to Success:
- Ensure documentation and processes are well defined so that the engineered solutions are understood and repeatable.
- Ensure solutions are well built, backed up & restore tested, and consistently maintained for health
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with the business on maintaining our security posture.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures related to cloud security
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted
- Certifications not required, but encouraged: Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, CISSP, CCNA, CCSP, CCIE Security, or other security-related certifications
- Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership capabilities
Experience
- 7+ years of systems administration experience
- 3 - 5 years of shown experience in handling a large scale AWS environment
- 1 - 3 years of cloud security operations experience for a large-scale company
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- In-depth knowledge with building, managing, and securing solutions in AWS
- Experience with implementing and running security controls in cloud environments
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong organization skills, leading sophisticated projects
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent understanding of AWS, and Azure cloud services and infrastructure, with hands-on experience in implementing secure solutions
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies within a multicloud environment
- Strong knowledge of AWS principles and tools, such as EC2, VPC and IAM
- Experience in CI\CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
- Strong problem-solving in both ambiguous and tactical situations with a bias for action
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to excellence, high-quality standards, and attention to detail
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and standard methodologies in cloud security.
- Hands-on experience using and/or configuration of one or more of the following, are a plus
- Powershell
- Terraform
- Splunk
- Python
- YAML
- JSON

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $113,500.00-$170,200.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
