How will you make an impact?
Under the guidance of the regional Project Management Office leader, Project Managers are in charge of all aspects of Digital Science product and solutions projects for our customers. This includes managing and supervising project timelines, deliverables, and schedules. Project Managers define resource requirements for projects, and perform, delegate and be responsible for the completion of project tasks. Project Managers participate in initial project analysis and estimation and maintain fiscal accountability for projects, managing risks and avoiding cost overruns. Project Managers maintain an interest and keep up to date with the trends and developments in the industry as affected by the Thermo Fisher Scientific Strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Trusted advisor to our customers, account managers, services leaders, and delivery teams.
- Maintain and assume accountability for a culture of high customer service.
- Meaningfully engage with customers to successfully complete Thermo Fisher product and solutions engagements.
- Fulfill tasks in alignment with Thermo Fisher Scientific's objectives and strategy, especially those pertaining to customer happiness, growth, and profitability.
Operational:
- Accurately estimate project and task resource requirements.
- Define and control project definition and scope.
- Maintain and manage project timesheets, expense reports and status reports in accordance with company's guidelines.
- Interact effectively with client project management and technical personnel.
- Supervise project related activities such as software validation.
- Effectively handle project assignments and schedules in concert with the other project managers and services leaders. Provide recommendations into planning, resource allocation, management, tracking, and reporting of projects.
- Effectively run the revenue activity of the project team members and invoicing to clients. Successfully handle all financial aspects of projects. Avoid cost overruns. Produce timely & accurate project summaries.
- Facilitate internal and customer meetings effectively and deliver engaging, informative presentations. Travel, as needed, for internal and customer meetings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Complete project lifecycle experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or process-based industries, preferably at an enterprise software product company in an external customer facing role.
- Broad understanding of relevant technologies and implications in the delivery of scientific solutions, such as but not limited to an understanding of IT processes, SDLC methodologies, Quality Management System, Validation, et al.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, integrity, and credibility.
- Results focused proactive, self-starter, with a demonstrated track record of getting things done.
- Attention to detail and a concern for quality.
- Planning, prioritizing, reporting, problem solving and analytical capabilities.
- Some experience with project budgeting and cost tracking.
- Ability to lead and be responsible for the efficiency of others, applying their expertise, seeking information and factors as input into planning and execution.
- Proficient in English with strong oral and written communication skills and a high level of professional confidence.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, IS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of proven experience in project management in life and laboratory sciences software.
- Demonstrated success in enterprise software professional services.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification highly desirable.
