The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Applications Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with Product Management, Market Development, and R&D to develop, synthesize, and publish application data that supports customer workflows for the Cell Culture and Cell Therapy business. Your focus will be on T-cell based cell therapies, particularly in the CAR-T space. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our applications data and stories enable developers and manufacturers to optimize their cell therapy workflows. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with world-class investigators, research institutions, regulatory and standards organizations, and biotech/biopharma worldwide.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, perform, and evaluate lab experiments, with a focus on applying collected VOC data to publishing outcomes.
  • Build compelling scientific publications using existing resources to serve industry needs
  • Perform statistical analysis and practice DOE methods
  • Work with customers to learn their technical, scientific, and process workflow needs, and develop new application project ideas to meet those needs
  • Collaborate with cell biologists, chemists, bioinformaticians, engineers, product managers, market development managers, customer support, internal cross-functional core teams, and external scientists
  • Represent the company at scientific meetings, give talks, and present posters
  • Some travel may be required to visit customers, collaborators, and attend conferences
  • Support business priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Bioengineering with at least 5 years of industry-relevant experience; master's with at least 3 years of experience or PhD (preferred)
  • Hands-on technical cell therapy process development/manufacturing experience
  • Strong experience in developing products for regulated (GMP) customers
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Proven experience and understanding of customer requirements
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work within a diverse team and contribute to an encouraging, transparent, positive work environment
  • Marketing experience beneficial
  • Statistical skills using current platforms (e.g., JMP, design expert) desirable
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential
  • Self-motivated, independent, organized, and a proactive driving force of execution
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a matrixed environment
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing needs caused by time, budget, or business constraints

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $83,300.00-$125,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
