Job Description

This business-critical role is chartered to build and implement strategies and tactics to achieve revenue goals and market share objectives for CCS CMD EMEA in DACH and North regions through our channel partners. An important function of the Channel Manager will be leading the relationships with distribution and OEM partners. You will be building a strategic plan to drive greater than market growth within the Chromatography Consumables product line, in addition to the broader goal to drive the overall CMD business growth. As the primary point of contact of our division for select channel partners, you will initiate, build, and develop relationships across all levels to promote and develop CMD strategic plans to provide long-term business development. This is a fast-paced and exciting role! This is temporary position for 12 months (Parental cover).

What will you do?

  • Lead channel relationships with specific OEM and distribution channel accounts in DACH and North regions
  • Build a growth roadmap to drive business
  • Lead annual pricing strategy discussions with channel partners and internal collaborators to drive YoY growth.
  • Define and work closely with CMD Chromatography leadership including local commercial teams, business unit, and channel marketing functions to drive execution of strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Recommend products, pricing, promotions and sales tactics to drive sales via the Tier I, Tier II, and OEM channels.
  • Build and use metrics to assess and report performance of each promotional program.
  • Refine marketing materials in collaboration with the CMD Marcom and Business Unit marketing teams to align with channel needs.
  • Equip commercial team with support materials to take market share.
  • Provide regular, timely feedback to line manager on business development in assigned accounts.
  • Forecast accurately in timely manner.
  • Run quarterly business review with assigned partners.

How will you get here?

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or scientific field.
  • Must have 5+ years relationship or account management experience, preferably with channels and/or distributors
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and possess a strong work ethic
  • Excellent and professional communication and presentation skills with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to respond positively to feedback while actively sharing experiences and knowledge in a professional/collaborative manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years sales experience with technical products
  • Strong understanding of the selling process fundamentals
  • Able to demonstrate awareness of process improvement opportunities
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Self-motivated to drive continuous learning

Travel up to 40%, including overnight travel when necessary. Remote position and can be located anywhere within the UK/DACH region.
