Job Description

The Business Development Project Manager liaises with clients, senior management, operational and sales teams to review proposals preparation and review for PDS opportunities, supports new business requests and leads visits on site from potential new customers.

ASSIGNMENTS/PRIMARY ACTIVITIES:

  • Follow GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures. Where applicable, performs job responsibilities in compliance with cGMP and all other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Review proposals prepared by Patheon UK quotation team, based on the costs' structure of Patheon Italy and the guidance of the technical teams.
  • Participate to discussions with customers to understand technical aspects of projects, bring together adequate level of information or assumptions, and assist in developing adequate scope of work and costed appropriately. Follow-up when required.
  • Work with Account Executives and Project Managers to promote Patheon, ensure customers satisfaction and meet or adjust project requirements.
  • Prepare data reporting and show share reporting analysis to site leadership team, and different level of organization where needed.
  • Support questions or assessment request on new enquiries raised by the Sales group.
  • Give to continuous improvements within the site presentations and proposal content.
  • Host and handle new customers visits, either virtual or on site.
  • Handle multiple new customer requests and coordinate follow-up in a timely and effective manner, interacting with site management and technical functions.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new projects, collaborating closely with customers, site leadership and management, operational and sales teams, giving to S&OP and business forecasting process.
  • Carry out all the responsibilities of PDS Project Manager.
  • Communicate, internally and externally, with professional approach to pro-actively influence and persuade to accept appropriate decisions and recommendations.
  • Call out issues for discussion and resolution.
  • Promote a positive, professional and pro-active culture within the function.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry/ Pharmacy/ Biological Sciences or similar.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in technical field or in a related area (Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical trials Manufacture, Commercial Manufacture, Project Management, Financial awareness, Customer contact).
  • Preferably Pharmaceutical background or previous experience in R&D Company.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and of Internet.
  • English proficient. Any other second language is appreciated.

  • Customer and result orientation, active listening, effective message delivery, proactive demeanor.
  • Ability to empower, to understand quotations process and represent site interests in understanding of technical aspects and proposals.
