Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager, Channel Management role supports the execution of channel strategy. By working with BID and RSD teams to facilitate a more collaborative selling process, you will help to improve channel engagement and ultimately accelerate revenue growth.

What will you do?
- Owns all revenue and growth targets in strategic region (end-to-end)
- Key audience will be RSD + BID commercial teams
- Deliver training and campaign updates to sales teams
- Maintain access and regular presence on sales team calls
- Drive & support strategic discussions between managers (SMGR + DM)
- Establish & support process which drives alignment & proactive planning between field teams (BAM, TSS, GENL, LSS)
- Concentrate focus on key regions with strategic opportunity
- Act as SME for end-to-end compensation and quoting
- Achieve channel metrics & success measures
- Prepare or support reporting as needed
- Identify BID Channel program gaps and actively seek solutions though Practical Process Improvement (PPI) activities
- Estimated 40-50% overnight travel, for customer facing activities and channel campaign initiatives
Education
This position requires a minimum of 7 years of commercial experience, and a technical understanding of key life science workflows with a Bachelor's Degree in Science
Experience
- Degree, professional qualification, and relevant work experience in sales or distribution
- Ability to drive colleague engagement and develop a collaborative work environment
- Must have a passion for our Life Science products and the associated markets
- Consistent record in industry, academia, or related field with growing responsibilities
- Strong analytical and numerical skills and the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis
Competencies: (skills, knowledge, abilities)
Knowledge of channel dynamics and experience working with distribution. Honed social skills. Results oriented and customer-need focused. Commercial drive. Self-starter personality. Comfortable working within matrixed organization. Prior life sciences sales experience preferred.
