  • Accelerate growth and increase lifetime value of our relationships with new and emerging biotechs, meeting or exceeding Goal Tree metrics for success.
  • Actively engage new customers by bringing to bear existing relationships to develop influential connections and identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact to streamline the customer experience, engaging divisional colleagues as necessary.
  • Translate deep customer insights into meaningful partnership opportunities that deliver value to both our customers and Thermo Fisher.
  • Lead the AMTs in demonstrating our wide range of capabilities to craft innovative, science- and customer-focused solutions for territory and account strategy.
  • Develop strong, influential relationships with a wide network of internal and external collaborators, enabling our divisional colleagues to connect with customers.
  • Work closely with customers and industry organizations to develop a deep understanding of focus technology areas and organizational imperatives, as well as the competitive landscape.
  • Act as the primary interface between our strategic partners and Thermo Fisher, sourcing new needs/opportunities and supporting resolution of critical issues.
  • Formulate and recommend pricing strategies and negotiate complex deal structures.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree in a Life Science major. An MBA or professional business education is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a life science laboratory is preferred.
  • equivalent experience in a scientific field such as biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an account management or business development position within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, contract research or laboratory supply sectors.
  • Experience working within a matrix environment and driving alignment on a common purpose despite occasionally competing/conflicting interests.
  • Strong understanding of business and financial competence, including knowledge of the drivers, dynamics, and trade-offs of the P&L.
  • Deep and sincere passion for crafting an inclusive, encouraging, and collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and similar programs.
  • Positive attitude and resiliency to changing business environments.
  • High level of motivation and ability/willingness to spend significant time on site at customer locations.
  • Travel 0-25%.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $157,000.00-$205,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
