The role:

Join our European team as Business Development Associate where you will contribute towards expanding our Development and Commercial Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Services business within the Pharma Services Group. This role offers a unique opportunity to have a positive global impact by empowering our customers to create a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.

What will you do?

  • Research, identify, and qualify pharmaceutical and biotech companies within our given territory for fit with PSG services
  • Reach out and engage potential client companies with a targeted message about PSG and how we can add new value to their project
  • Gain the support of the local Business Development Executives (BDEs) and relevant subject matter experts (SMEs) to discuss possible project opportunities and prepare the internal team with intel and company summaries ahead of prioritising calls
  • Co-ordinate the establishment of CDAs with new clients and PSG
  • Work with the BDE to collect information to be able to submit requests for proposals (RFPs) within SalesForce
  • Work with business intelligence platforms and other internal digital tools to improve your ability to find and advance new opportunities
  • Communicate information and new project requirements to enable evaluation and generation of product proposals
  • Lead, update, and maintain all relevant activities in the client database for the assigned territory to ensure its data is accurate and current

Requirements:

  • Technical background in Chemistry or related field is helpful
  • One year of related Life Science experience required with preference for pharma / biotech industry including business development, commercial or CDMO exposure
  • Previous experience selling CDMO services is favourable but not mandated
  • Strong prospecting skills and interest in sales
  • Highly driven and self-motivated individual
  • Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM platform preferred
  • Advanced level of English
  • Valid driving licence
