The job:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong work ethic and motivation to join our team as a Biosciences Account Manager to manage biotech accounts in London.

As a Biosciences Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and building relationships with our valued customers in the biotech industry. You will have the opportunity to work with a world-class team, develop your sales skills, and contribute to the success of our ambitious sales targets.

We need you to drive growth in our Biosciences portfolio - protein, cell and molecular biology (Invitrogen, Gibco & Applied Biosystems), including selected equipment including endpoint PCR equipment, fluorescent microscopes and flow cytometers and various other small benchtop laboratory instruments.

This role requires an individual with a consistent track record in sales and a deep technical understanding combined with the ability to empathise and help to resolve customer issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Foster and nurture strong relationships with a diverse range of customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of sales strategies and initiatives
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Successfully manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts
  • Conduct market research to determine customer needs and preferences
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers
  • Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures in all sales activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (PhD preferred)
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably life sciences, is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Ambitious and self-motivated with a passion for achieving sales targets
