Position Summary:

  • As the Associate Product Manager you will support the management of the Process Liquids portfolio within Thermo Fisher's Biologicals and Chemicals Business Unit. Together we will develop long-range product strategies, guide fiscal planning for future positioning, growth, and evolution of the product platform.
  • Track revenue, margin, customer happiness, and market share objectives.
  • Play a key role as a product champion with internal partners and regional teams.
  • An effective performer will develop close relationships with field organization (e.g., sales and technical support) through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits, participating with pricing tactics, and customer support.
  • Deliver successful launches through requirements, development, and commercialization. Familiarity with the PCP process.
  • Assisting to handle the life cycle of the existing product portfolio. Responsibilities include participating in the three-year product line strategies, building familiarity with pricing /margin optimization. Work together with other product managers and collaborators across Thermo Fisher organization.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications group and other domestic and international business units to coordinate marketing communications activities and plans, ensuring consistency and efficiency. Assist in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and collateral marketing pieces.
  • Participate in Operations meetings (daily Tier meeting) and provide input to operational plans

Preferred background/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with strong analytical abilities and a general knowledge base of biological sciences.
  • 1-3 years' experience in product management, field applications, marketing, or operations roles
  • Competence in product portfolio, including a deep understanding of customer workflow and requirements.
  • Strong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and accepting changes. Requires excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working in matrix interpersonal structure. Work with global multi-cultural teams.
  • Outcome orientation and a strong desire to plan to measure the success of initiatives.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Products: PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI.

Travel: Up to 30% globally

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $83,300.00-$112,000.00.
