Job Description

Position Summary:

The Associate Product Manager will help lead the Peptones services business in developing long-range services strategies and participate in financial planning for future positioning, growth, and evolution of the services and portfolio. This exciting role will give you exposure to tracking revenues and margin, driving customer satisfaction, and navigating cross-functional teams working on groundbreaking science.

This is an onsite position.

Some responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as services champion with internal collaborators and regional teams.
  • Develop close relationships with field organization (e.g., sales and technical support) through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits, participating with pricing tactics, and customer support.
  • Deliver successful innovative new product launches through requirements, development, and commercialization.
  • Drive the life cycle of the existing product and services portfolio. Responsibilities include participating in the three-year product line strategies, building familiarity with pricing /margin optimization.
  • Work collaboratively with other product managers and key functional partners across Thermo Fisher organization.
  • Assist in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and collateral marketing pieces.
  • Lead the coordination of marketing communications activities and plans with the Marketing Communications group and other global teams to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Participate in weekly capacity meetings and provide input to operational plans

This role will help develop and deploy the go to market strategy for our services offerings in partnership with our product offerings. There will be significant opportunity for innovation and autonomy!

Preferred background/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with strong analytical skills and a general knowledge base of biological sciences.
  • 1-3 years' experience in product management, field applications, marketing, or operations roles
  • Strong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and embracing changes.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in matrix structure.
  • Outcome orientation with a strong desire to measure the success of initiatives.
  • Ability to navigate teams across global and cultural difference.

Travel: approximately 30% globally

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $90,000.00-$120,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
