Job Description

How will you make an impact?

As an Account Manager within the Production Process and Analytics (PPA) business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will play a vital role in our sales and commercial activities. By leading the selling and account management efforts for the Quality Control Systems (Gauging) our existing markets, you will support significantly the driving growth and profitability. Reporting to the Commercial Leader EMEA, the role will build and maintain strong customer relationships, explore avenues for expansion, and improve market penetration. Sales expertise and strategic approach will be crucial in meeting our sales and profit targets.

What will you do?

Meet sales targets

  • Provide and achive forecast in booking and revenue
  • Collaborate with external partners or directly engage with customers
  • Improve long-term business results and strengthen relationships
  • Select, train, and empower agents and channel partners
  • Report sales data optimally through CRM (SFDC) and other tools.
  • Communicate effectively and share market insights which helps for decision-making

Exceed customer requirements

  • Ensure effective communication, and responsiveness
  • Deliver outstanding results to enhance customer experiences

Maintain outstanding product knowledge

  • Effectively promote our offerings to customers

Coordinate sales activities

  • Work cross-functionally with other territories, product lines, product management and service teams
  • Ensure a cohesive and aligned approach

Travel activity

  • Be available to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor's degree in sciences or equivalent technical background

Experience

You should have at least 3 years of sales experience, demonstrating a proven track record of success. Additionally, your experience in sales to industrial clients within the Metal, Packaging, Converting, and/or Battery Manufacturing markets will be highly valuable.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

To succeed in this position, you should possess the following:

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Languages: French and English, with proficiency in business communication. Additional languages, particularly Italian and Spanish, are welcome.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and internet applications (knowledge in SFDC is welcome).
  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet timelines.
  • Proven commercial excellence working in a matrix environment.
  • Valid driving license
