Location/Division Specific Information

Thermo Fishers Bioscience Division offers a unique combination of technologies, products, services and capabilities to provide unparalleled customer support. Our solutions span the range of needs, from innovation to productivity and outsourcing designed to simplify and accelerate pathways from discovery to commercialization. This position is home office based with the main accounts currently in Hamburg and the north of Germany.

Discover Impactful Work:

  • Sales of life sciences research consumables and instruments to the academic market
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships (procurement and scientists) on short and long term
  • Achieve sales targets set, both quarterly and annually
  • Go for all existing and develop new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or achieve plan
  • Focus on the strategic development of key accounts by implementing and updating account planning (cross-functions)

Keys to Success:

Education

  • M.A./ M.Sc or equivalent experience, preferred bachelor's degree in biology/life science field

Experience

  • Experience in sales in the Life Sciences Market

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • General knowledge of assigned product portfolio and customer segment required
  • Analytical and business planning skills
  • Distinct time management
  • Strong capabilities to interface successfully with all customer types, face to face and virtually/via phone
  • Ability to successfully contribute to dedicated team
  • Demonstrates a positive demeanour and desire to succeed
  • strong motivation to work in sales and be successful
  • Strong self-motivation to find new business
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to evolving business environment
  • Digital literacy in MS Office package required
  • Valid driving license
  • Proficiency in English and German, both written and verbal, additional languages are an advantage
