Job Description

Explore an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as an Account Manager II in our Sales team, based in Hyderabad. This role is ideal for ambitious professionals looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed annual revenue targets established for the account/territory through strategic sales initiatives.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of key account needs and improve customer relationships to drive revenue growth using Salesforce.com for managing the opportunity pipeline.
  • Successfully implement and close major contracts in collaboration with Global and Local Support Teams.
  • Collaborate with the technical sales team to position our products in early-phase molecules in clinical development within biotech companies and advocate for pipeline progression.
  • Bridge relationships between pre-clinical and clinical phase process development in key biopharmaceutical accounts.
  • Position Thermo Fisher Scientific Bioproduction as a solution partner for all bioprocess needs in Upstream development, while introducing downstream and analytics capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Divisional Business Units and customers to identify potential supply chain issues and determine the best course to minimize any negative impact.
  • Conduct accurate demand planning and forecasting through the comprehensive use of Salesforce.com.
  • Drive regional promotional initiatives and sales strategies aligned with the Divisional Marketing Strategy.
  • Provide ongoing feedback on regional market and customer needs to Divisional Business Units for new product and solution development.
  • Facilitate high-level market intelligence on the BioProduction market, environment, and technology trends, and share this information with our Global Marketing team.
  • Establish and maintain outstanding partnerships across all levels and functions within key accounts.
  • Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to team members and partners.
  • Participate in individual and company training programs to improve sales and technical skills.
  • Cover the Hyderabad territory to bring in business from existing and new accounts, working with designated channel partners to increase business growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience in the bioproduction, life sciences industry, or related fields.
  • Experience in account management is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent experience is required; an MSc in life sciences or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the Bioprocess Industry is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for group presentations, customer sales presentations, and inter-company communications.
  • Collaborate closely with sales counterparts and distribution reps to develop specific account growth strategies, account mapping, and penetration plans.
