Position Summary:

Join our Team and exceed budget goals in a diverse territory of Academic, Industrial, Government and Biotech accounts. Develop relationships with customers and vendors to drive sales and build a strong customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within assigned territory.
  • Make decisions independently and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to meet customer needs. Build relationships within the account to facilitate networking and prospecting.
  • Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory.
  • Research competitor and industry activity to capture information for the business plan. Use this knowledge to introduce new products/services.
  • Handle pricing and negotiates within territory to control profitability.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for accurate management of territory.
  • Connect with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager.
  • Advise customers of supply and price trends and aid in inventory control, consults with customers.
  • Always positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific throughout customer locations

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the sciences
  • 3-5 years' experience, preferably in sales
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Computer ability in MS Office and the internet
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
