As the Regional Sales Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact and drive incremental growth for the Chemical Analysis Division's Environmental & Process Monitoring business in the South- and East Europe. The Chemical Analysis Division features innovative analytics, from lab to line to field. Our business serves a wide breadth of industrial markets including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement, and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security.

Location Of The Role:

The Regional Sales Manager can be based out of:

  • Italy (preferred), Spain, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic or Poland

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain Go-To-Market plans for the region in close collaboration with the local Channel Manager
  • Understand the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develop sales strategies to respond effectively
  • Be creative in finding ways to close deals based on a 'must-win' mentality

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, advanced degrees preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a documented track record of success
  • 2+ years of experience as an indirect people and/or distribution manager
  • Must have sold capital pieces of equipment
  • Ability to travel 50%+ across the assigned territory
  • Strong technical knowledge of the chemical and/or environmental industry and experience selling in those markets
  • Self-starter and able to work on your own
  • Ability to prospect new business and have that "hunter" attitude
  • Strong communication skills - orally and written in English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
