Account Manager- Chromatography and Mass Spec

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as an Account Manager for our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD). In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology and collaborate with a diverse range of customers in various industries, including Pharma QA/QC, Environmental, Industrial, Food Safety, Healthcare, Academic, Pharmaceutical R&D/Drug Development, and BioPharma R&D.

Key Responsibilities:

Selling Agility

  • Identify and prioritize new client opportunities and develop strategic growth strategies.
  • Manage and nurture account relationships to drive expansion and renewals across the full CMD portfolio.
  • Provide product assistance, consultation, and problem-solving to customers.
  • Determine the best technology choice to meet customer needs and increase the number of successful installations.
  • Negotiate contracts and close orders with end users and purchasing departments.
  • Use data and metrics to create and report on strategies for developing accounts.

Drives Growth

  • Expand current account penetration and share of wallet.
  • Develop sales strategies to meet plan and expand business within the assigned territory.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to meet customer needs.
  • Use sales tools to effectively manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts.

Leadership

  • Collaborate with sales and technical specialists to provide technical expertise.
  • Conduct technical business presentations and represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at trade shows and customer events.
  • Exchange account information and sales leads within and across commercial divisions.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Consistent track record of sales experience in the analytical instrument market.
  • Bachelor's degree in the sciences or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong market knowledge and professional network.
  • Experience in conducting seminars and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to pursue new business opportunities with a goal-oriented approach.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English, and other languages as needed in the assigned region.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and CRM.
  • Ability to explain and sell the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific's scientific product portfolio.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations up to 80% including overnight travel.
