How will you make an impact?

Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Use AI to develop and implement global marketing strategies to improve customer engagement and raise brand awareness.
  • Use AI tools to build content to be used in automated lead and demand gen activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture valuable insights and identify key opportunities for AI integration across various marketing channels.
  • Use innovative AI tools and platforms to analyze customer data, identify trends, and extract valuable insights that drive marketing campaigns.
  • Supervise and analyze AI-enhanced marketing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and optimize AI algorithms to ensure exceptional performance and accurate targeting.
  • Champion AI adoption within the marketing, sales, and service teams, ensuring understanding and proficiency among collaborators.
  • Organize and lead workshops and training sessions to enhance technical proficiency among employees, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Develop surveys and forms to capture feedback, improving the user experience and ensuring continuous improvement in AI adoption.
  • Stay up to date with the latest AI trends and advancements in marketing technology to drive continuous innovation.

Requirements:

Undergraduate student completing a Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or related degree between December 2025 and June 2026.

  • Some experience in marketing with a focus on AI-enhanced strategies and technologies a plus
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with AI platforms, chatbot development, and natural language processing.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sophisticated data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
  • Strong collaboration, effective communication skills, and can work across other departments.

Start Date: This internship is set to begin on either May 12th or June 16th, 2025 for a duration of 10-12 weeks - dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.

Compensation & Relocation: Our undergraduate Marketing internships offer an hourly rate between $18.50 - $24.50 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.

To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Thermo Fisher does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience.
