Description
About the Internship
The internship will allow a student to participate in business development and capacity building programming for Port Authority certified Minority Business Enterprises, Women-owned Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, and Airport Concessionaire Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The task will include outreach events, Customer Engagement Meetings, Meet & Greet Meetings, Vendor e-Blast, Monthly Reporting, and event planning.
Responsibilities
- Support on Outreach programming and events (virtually and in-person)
- Support on Outreach Budget Reporting
- Support Business Recruitment, business Meet & Greets, and Customer Engagements

- Assist in developing department presentations and other communications and briefings
- Attend D&I employee engagement road shows, when applicable
- Research organizations that provide diverse subcontracting/supplier opportunities
- Additional projects and responsibilities as needed and assigned
- Attend Outreach events in support of small business capacity building.
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong interest in diversity and inclusion and human resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized with experience working independently on multiple projects
Internship Details
- The start date will be Thursday, May 29, 2025
- The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 22, 2025
- This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)
- The format is expected to be hybrid

Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly rate range is $18.07 to $30.31 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
