About the Internship
The Major Capital Projects (MCP) Department has overall program, design, and construction management responsibility for the replacement of the current Port Authority Bus Terminal in addition to the construction of the two new Hudson River Tunnels, the World Trade Center site, and the construction of new facilities such as 2 World Trade Center.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design, planning, and presentation of concepts and architectural 3D Model visualization.
- Projects will include the Port Authority Bus Terminal Replacement Project (PABTR), World Trade Center, and other Major Capital Projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester
- Major in Architecture or Urban Planning

Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of graphic software including, but not limited to, Autocad, Sketchup, Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Adobe Softwares - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, Microsoft Office Suite
- Design and planning capability
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Interest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey region
- Interest in public service and/or transportation
- Willingness to learn
Internship Details
- The start date will be Thursday, May 29, 2025
- The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 22, 2025
- This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)
- The format is expected to be fully in-person

Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly rate range is $17.63 to $29.57 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
