About the Role

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you along with a team of direct report Contract Specialists, will manage the administrative process in a fast-paced environment at the direction of the Senior Engineer of Construction for all assigned Contracts.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Engineer of Construction, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the oversight of Contract Specialist staff while ensuring all administrative components of for assigned Contracts at the World Trade Center are satisfactorily completed which are comprised of the following:

  • Preparation and review of Contractor payment applications.
  • Updating electronic work-in-place logs and financial information for assigned Contracts on a monthly basis with input from supervisor.
  • Processing sub-contractor approval requests.
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained in order to process change orders and lump sum conversions.
  • Understand and review Contractor's certified payroll reports and track MWBE and recycling goals.
  • File daily field inspection reports and maintain real-time logs of any extra work quantities contained therein being tracked on a time and material basis against associated budgets.
  • Alert supervisor of any budgetary exceedance concerns and of any documentation not being received in a timely manner.
  • Scribe and distribute progress meeting minutes and write memos at the direction of the Senior Engineer of Construction.
  • Balance and be able to adjust multiple priorities and follow up on all correspondence needed from Contractors, main office and supervisory staff needed to carry out your responsibilities.
  • Evaluate subordinates regularly and if necessary, make recommendations to increase, decrease, or change staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of (5) years' experience in office engineering and /or administrative work with principal experience in the administration of Construction Contracts
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Wintrak and SAP

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills and work well with others.
  • Monitoring actual budget expenditures and schedules against forecasts and alerting supervisory staff of any potential issues.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a cross section of staff in terms of their supervisory level as well as stakeholder staff outside of the department
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and adjust priorities
  • Degree or post high school Certificate in public administration, business, finance or other related field from an accredited institution
