The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Analyst to join the Fund Risk Management team as part of our financial services business in Dublin.
 
As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Dublin office opened its doors in 2008. Located in the heart of the city, a commitment to service excellence and investment in our people quickly established Dublin as a regional hub where our 200+ teammates deliver the best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide alongside our colleagues in legal services. 
 
 
The Senior Analyst will be a member of the Fund Risk Management team and will help manage client relationships. As part of our Dublin team you will be performing below key duties:
 
  • Calculating, reviewing, and monitoring specified risk metrics and risk adjusted fund indicators;
  • Reviewing and validating risk models on VaR, leverage, liquidity, stress testing and counterparty risk;
  • Liaising with relevant service providers, such as managers, depositaries and administrators;
  • Work on projects with other MPMF teams, including Compliance, Investments and Operational Risk;
  • Support Risk Team members, prepare reports, present at board meetings;
  • Aid the risk team manage deliverables to ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements and to ensure streamlined and effective operations;
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including clients, prospects, regulators, industry associations, Board members and colleagues.
 
 
Requirements: 
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
  • 1-2 years’ experience desirable in the Risk department, preferably from ManCo
  • An interest in financial markets, and the changing regulatory landscape with knowledge of an AIFMD and UCITS framework would be beneficial
  • Desire to pursue further studies such as CFA or FRM
  • Be proactive; goals oriented, work well under pressure to meet deadlines, and should be willing to take on new activities and challenges
  • Advanced numerical skills, attention to detail, professionalism and excellent organizational skills
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and sense of ownership
  • A strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative
