Job Description
The VIP Lounge Concierge Attendant administers food and beverage services in the Center's VIP Lounges. The lounges are open to Circles Members and VIP guests in each of the three main theaters. The Concierge Attendant is an important part of the Center's Donor Stewardship team, providing friendly, polite, and convenient service while serving light food and beverage offerings.
Position is a Kennedy Center employee, but operations are overseen by Restaurant Associates, the Center's catering organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Setup the lounge space two hours before each show start time. Ready the bar are for service and prepare coffee and snacks. Open the lounge space to donors one hour prior to show start time.
- Serve donors pre-show and during intermission, including taking orders for food and beverage, preparing basic cocktails, and serving light food and snacks.
- Bus tables and replenish snacks during the pre-show time as well as for intermission. Open for intermission(s) and then break down after final intermission.
- Other duties as assigned, including set up for cultivation events, Trustee/Green Room receptions, and VIP lounge service.
Key Qualifications
- High School Education
- At least one year experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or service industries preferred.
- Candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the DMV area. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Skills & Knowledge Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism are essential.
- Polite, sociable personality.
Physical Demands
Long periods on your feet, quick drink-making ability and multitasking with several customers at once are just a few of the physical demands associated with this fast-paced profession. This position infrequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Private Circles lounges similar to 5-star hotels or country clubs.
