The Position
D.C. United Splash offers an exciting five-day program for campers aged 5-8, blending traditional summer camp activities with custom-built D.C. United Summer Camps soccer curriculum. This unique experience promotes growth on and off the field, combining fun camp activities with soccer fundamentals, helping campers develop skills and confidence.
We’re looking for enthusiastic soccer coaches who bring energy, passion, and a desire to coach youth players. As a coach, you’ll play a key role in leading soccer activities and shaping the camper experience. We provide the training, curriculum, daily camp schedules, and all equipment for a successful camp day, but we need you to bring camp to life with your enthusiasm, dedication, and unmatched energy.

What You'll Do
- Coach and guide a team of campers (ages 5-8), introducing them to basic soccer skills and guiding them through fun camp games and activities that enhance motor, social, and emotional development.
- Daily activities include soccer skills and drills, swimming, arts and crafts, STEM activities, moon bounce, playground time, and soccer scrimmages.
- Create a fun and engaging environment that encourage teamwork, creativity, and skill development.
- Manage camper behavior and ensure a safe environment by consistently following camp protocols and promoting both physical and emotional well-being.
- Serve as a positive role model by representing D.C. United and Headfirst professionally to campers, families, and staff.
- Be reliable, punctual, and committed to your campers' growth, learning, and enjoyment in a team-oriented environment.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, always maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere for campers.
About You
- 2+ years of experience working with children in sports, camps, or school settings, ideally with younger children (ages 5-8).
- Passionate about working with young children and fostering a love for soccer; basic soccer knowledge is a plus.
- Skilled in leading fun, meaningful activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and skill development.
- Able to manage camper behavior positively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Comfortable interacting with families, maintaining open and friendly communication.
- Able to remain upright and standing for multiple hours at a time, to walk and/or run quickly around large outdoor grass and dirt-covered fields, and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of sports equipment.
- Committed to adhering to the D.C. United Camp Cell-Phone Free policy, powering down and putting away cell phones for the duration of your shift.

Additional Camp Information
- Camp Dates & Locations: June 23 – August 8, 2025, at Woods Academy in Bethesda, Maryland.

- Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:45 am-3:30 pm
- Compensation: $15.65 / hour
- Extended Employment Opportunities: Passing & dribbling and goal scoring small-group lessons Monday – Friday from 3:15 - 4:00 pm (paid at $43.75 per lesson).
