Hartford Fire Insurance Company in Hartford, CT has the following opening for a Solution Architect.

Summary of Duties: Progressively research, design, and develop preventative computer and software controls to drive increased automation and self-healing capabilities. Help enable support functions to "shift left", from Infrastructure to the application teams. Serve as liaison to software engineering to help determine containerization strategy. Possess a clear understanding of cloud and container deployment architectures including building cloud-native applications and container orchestration systems. Identify ways to simplify across the Small Commercial technology stack without adding technical complexity. Design, deploy, and support enterprise workloads to the cloud. Enable expedient troubleshooting, issue resolution and root cause removal in a hybrid cloud environment. Champion the adoption of automation capabilities built and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement mindset for the organization. Telecommuting available.

Qualifications: Position requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Management, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Security, Information Networking, Operations Research, Operations Research Analysis, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics; plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, JIRA, Linux, Shell, Terraform, Python, Docker, and Powershell.

Salary Range: $175,000 to $188,040 per year.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$175,000 - $188,040
