This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

  • Work on Policy Center Configuration and Integration changes for Production/Maintenance teams
  • Work on Policy Center gosu, admin data, Integrations, PCF Configurations
  • Research and evaluate solutions and recommend/develop/test the most efficient and cost-effective solution to meet business requirements that conforms to The Hartford's coding standards.
  • With some guidance, help create verification methods and procedures and participate in systems testing.
  • Independently Debug and troubleshoot defects.
  • Estimate, design, build, test and deliver high quality code. Develop and test fully functional components.
  • Contributes for design, estimate, build, peer-review, and test practices with minimal supervision. Provides mentorship on specific topics. Contributor to Engineering Culture

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in Guidewire Policy Center development/enhancements
  • Guidewire Policy Center Application experience with good technical understanding of various aspects of the application.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate evidence of technical/analytical and logic-based problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivation, good judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong debugging skills and ability to fix application and system issues.
  • Significant exposure to Software Engineering Practices, Source code management including versioning, branches and issue tracking, code quality rules and governance, automated testing and use of testing frameworks.
  • Expertise in using IDEs, technology frameworks and any toolkits used for development. Testing skills, awareness and proficiency.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$87,200 - $130,800
