The Sr. Product Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive analysis on product performance and helping drive initiatives for the Small Commercial Workers Comp line of business. Sr. Analysts are regularly analyzing new and renewal trends, providing recommendations on growth and book management opportunities, and supporting product development. The Sr. Analyst will have exposure to and the opportunity to present to senior leadership. This role reports to the AVP - Product Management of the Small Commercial Workers Compensation line of business team.

This role offers a hybrid work schedule of two days working out of a local office and three days working from home.
Responsibilities:
- Works on assignments including monthly overall line performance, new/renewal monitoring and acts as a SME supporting line initiatives across our Invest/Maintenance portfolio
- Analyzes data in support of various projects being worked on in the SC WC team to recommend solutions and inform decisions
- Participates and takes direction on smaller components of a work stream to advance Small Commercial product initiatives
- Partners cross functionally with State Product Management, Compliance, Marketing, Claims, Legal, Compliance, Actuarial, Transformation Office and Underwriting to advance our operating routines and enable actionable insights for the Workers Comp line
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related work P&C Insurance experience required in a quantitative role related to Analytics, Finance, or Statistics
- Strong Microsoft Office product knowledge (Excel/PowerPoint) is required
- Excellent communication skills required - including visualization of quantitative information for non-technical audiences
- Strong technical skills. Demonstrates skills in Excel including the ability to create, manipulate and formulate spreadsheets. Ability to work with larger data sets, interpret results and develop analytical insights
- Ability to plan for the long-term while balancing the short-term needs of the organization
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Drive-for-results mentality, with ability to multi-task and make decisions in a business context
- Effective communication skills paired with an ability to influence key business stakeholders and drive alignment between key business partners
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$80,000 - $120,000
