Are you an experienced .NET with cloud technologies, looking to be a part of a cloud transformation? The Hartford's Group Benefits (GB) organization is aiming to transform our claims management systems and we are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Software Engineer executing within the SAFe agile operating model.

The ideal candidate will be working with in the agile team and must be able to work with several different tools and technologies. Responsibilities will include passionate about engineering activities, implementation, automation, and maintenance of our cloud adoption journey. Demonstrate excellent partnership, solid technical acumen, experience in delivering high quality code and enabling a superb customer experience while providing flexibility, scalability.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Sunrise, FL; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Job Description:

  • Ability to implement new software architecture patterns in Cloud that are scalable, highly available, secure, easily maintainable and cost efficient, adhering industry/HIG standards such as multi region support with fault tolerant. And participate design discussions.
  • Participate in the design, development, testing and debugging of an application.
  • Participate in code reviews, both of your own code and as a reviewer.
  • Conducts technical research on new technology for possible new aspects of a product or components needing redesign or updating.
  • Collaborate and partner with fellow developers to develop, implement, and support complex technical solutions.
  • Highly knowledgeable with hands on experience .NET, C#, and Relational database concepts and solid understanding of SQL.
  • Takes ownership to drive innovation for effectively leveraging technology to solve the customer problem.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years' years of software development experience includes but not limited API development, implementing/integrating with databases, testing, and troubleshooting experience and best practices.
  • In addition, position requires 3 years of experience in the following skills: Object oriented programming methodologies, C#, .Net Framework, .NET Core, NUnit, Micro Services, Swagger. Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
  • Experience with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, preferred tools such as GitHub (or any version control concepts), Jenkins, Rally, SonarQube etc.
  • Experience with any relational or non-relational database technologies including SQL
  • Experience working in SAFe Agile methodology environment.
  • Enjoy solving problems through the entire application stack.
  • Nice to have experience working with AWS services.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$94,080 - $141,120
