This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on a variety of tasks within a fast-paced environment. It combines interests in technology, finance, and business value delivery to support the P&C IT Portfolio Management function (LPM). The role involves applying Lean systems thinking to strategy and investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial operations, including budget variance analysis, financial forecasting, and monthly financial reviews
  • Oversee vendor management on contracts, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation
  • Develop and maintain a workforce reporting and analysis strategy
  • Support data capture, metrics, measurement, and projections around the workforce
  • Monitor IT budgets to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives
  • Support and update the Clarity resources management Agile reporting tool
  • Take ownership of processes and tools enabling IT costing without time tracking
  • Partner with the Portfolio Lead to prepare for portfolio health reviews and scorecards
  • Report and interpret key portfolio Rally metrics
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Provide Rally support and data management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial modeling
  • Experience with Agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge of software development processes and IT financial management practices
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$79,120 - $118,680
