The Hartford's Marketing Technology team is looking to hire Sr. Specialist - MarTech who will support the execution and optimization of our marketing technology stack, ensuring that our teams have the tools and infrastructure they need to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role will report to the Assistant Director of Marketing Technology and collaborate cross-functionally with integrated marketing, line of business marketing, IT, and service teams to maintain and evolve our MarTech features to support our marketing tactics across channels.

This person will need technical understanding of marketing systems such as Creative Workflow Management, Digital Asset Management, Email Service Providers, Social Publishing & Engagement, Audience Management, Reviews Management, and Brand Protection.

As a Sr. Specialist of MarTech, your responsibilities include:

  • Product Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned MarTech products, from ideation and development to launch and optimization, as well as offboarding and transition when appropriate.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and data analytics, to ensure successful product delivery and integration
    • Help manage operational needs such as access and usage management and new integrations
    • Gather and translate marketing/business use cases into technical requirements
    • Provide hands-on guidance for internal stakeholders and develop documentation
    • Ensure implementation of best practices for tool governance and marketing activation
    • Troubleshoot tooling issues and coordinate resolution with vendors and/or internal stakeholders
  • Relationship Building and Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, communications, IT, and service teams understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into product development, facilitating communication and alignment across departments
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of assigned MarTech products, analyze data to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve product performance
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in MarTech, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
    • Innovate and drive the right-fit platform use cases to support marketing tactics and business objectives.
    • Participate in evaluation process for new vendors and coordinate implementation of new tools cross-functionally

Skills and Competencies

  • Expert technical skills in the areas of MarTech
  • Strong vendor management experience
  • Strong written/oral communication influencing skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills; takes direction well and possesses the ability to translate requirements between business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of MarTech ecosystem and platforms like Creative Workflow Management, Digital Asset Management, Email Service Providers, Social Publishing & Engagement, Audience Management, Reviews Management
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous and changing requirements and deadlines with a constant need to prioritize based on outcomes
  • "Roll up your sleeves" mentality; must be able to foster collaboration to drive implementations, use cases, results and outcomes enterprise-wide
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, resourceful, and able to effectively work independently, as well as part of a team and across functions and levels of the organization

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (3-5 years) working within digital marketing, with a focus on MarTech
  • Experience in financial services preferred
  • Preferred experience as a system administrator or librarian for Digital Asset Management Platforms like Cloudinary, Bynder, MediaValet, Brandfolder, or IntelligenceBank.
  • Preferred experience as a system administrator for Adobe Workfront

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$81,280 - $121,920
