Middle and Large Business is looking for a Learning Consultant to consult with business partners and subject matter experts to develop performance & learning objectives that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Performance & Learning Consulting & Execution

  • Recommend the most appropriate performance or learning approach to address the stated objectives weighing resource and expense against business impact.
  • Design, develop and deliver performance & learning solutions that transfer knowledge, build skill and influence the behavioral change required to drive key business initiative.
  • Facilitate learning creating a dynamic and engaging environment using relevant and current examples allowing the learner to easily apply knowledge and skill to on-the-job application.
  • Assist in development and delivery of CORE, Intern and SOAR programs
  • Develop and execute reinforcement tactics and strategies that drive the desired skill and change in behavior. Execute effective monitoring and evaluation plans that help to identify the impact of programs on performance.

Business and Sales Consulting & Execution

  • Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, goals and performance improvement opportunities and develop and deliver strategies and solutions to fill performance gaps. Become a trusted partner who is positioned to address key business challenges and opportunities.
  • Consults with the business to develop sales practices and processes to drive performance and behavioral changes needed to successfully execute key initiatives and strategies which will drive success.
  • Develop the ability of others to perform and contribute to the organization by providing on-going feedback and by providing opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods. Encourage creative tension and difference of opinions. Manage and resolve conflicts and disagreements in a constructive manner. Persuade others; builds consensus through give and take, gain cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals. Make well-informed, effective and timely decisions, even when data is limited, or solutions produce unpleasant consequences; perceives the impact and implications and decisions.
  • Facilitate in-person training sessions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
  • Extensive technical property & casualty underwriting knowledge preferred
  • Prior teaching or learning background preferred
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong Sales Acumen
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Effective collaboration skills; superior partnership and relationship building skills
  • Creative and innovative approach to developing learning curriculum
  • Self-starter with the ability to work across all multiple levels and areas within the organization
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to drive results
  • Contribute to the organizations success by troubleshooting issues, researching, and providing recommendations that elevates underwriting skills and sales acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated project management ability to drive projects to timely completion
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organization skills
  • Ability to solve problems and "think outside the box" to develop customized learning solutions
  • Passion for learning and developing others
  • Strong team building and interpersonal skills
  • Use of Salesforce, Articulate or Drillster software background, a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT preferred) three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Candidates who do not live near an office will be considered for a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of travel up to 50% of the time.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$76,240 - $148,800

The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
