Overview of the role: Reporting to the Head of Organizational Development, this role will work across the organization to support professional, leadership and talent development.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering onboarding programs, as well as other L&D programs/initiatives in response to changing needs (i.e. cohort programs)
  • Providing L&D consultation to individuals, teams and programs
  • Identifying and designing learning options, including online and blended learning solutions to build capability within the organization
  • Assisting with developing and implementing programs and initiatives to build the capability of our leaders and staff
  • Developing, managing and coordinating training requirements for differing levels of the organization based on current and future capability and mandatory needs (sales, compliance etc.)
  • Selecting and recommending educational methods, certifications, conferences, workshops and e-learning courses
  • Facilitating regular soft-skills development, sales and management trainings
  • Assessing the impact of training on employee performance
  • Act as a liaison with external partners and outsource training, as needed
  • Evaluating feedback from trainees and trainers after each session
  • Promoting and marketing available training opportunities to employees as well as driving a learning culture
  • Assisting with Learning Management System (LMS) input and reporting
  • Managing the L&D intranet page, ensuring information is relevant and targeted to the correct audience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Asset Management or financial services experience preferred
  • Experience working with leaders at all levels of an organization (front line managers to senior executives)
  • Proven experience with talent management and talent development strategies
  • Strong project management and coaching skills with thorough attention to detail
  • Knowledge of change management practices, organizational design, and development techniques
  • Demonstrated ability at developing practical, solution-driven initiatives and effectively implementing and measuring the business impact
  • A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively toward team and organizational goals, demonstrate good judgment with excellent follow-through
  • Impeccable integrity and sound judgment
  • Focus on building knowledge of the business and leverage that knowledge effectively in daily execution

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$75,000 - $90,000
